We started EnjoyMyMedia because we were frustrated by the difficulty we had sharing our personal media with our friends and family.

Our parents, siblings and close friends are neither computer wizard's nor of the age to regularly visit iTunes or MySpace. Nonetheless, they are avid followers of our families and are always asking for copies of photos, videos, term papers, and the like. We could have used Shutterfly for the photos, YouTube for the videos, and created our own blogs to post the term papers, but that’s a lot of repetitive, manual work for us, while our friends and family would have to habitually visit many different Web sites. We were also pretty uncomfortable with the thought of posting our personal, private content on public Web sites where we couldn't control access to our media.

We could also, of course, do what most folks do and send an email with the media attached. Unfortunately, using email in this way has lots problems (it is a manual, time consuming process, big files get bounced, newbies hit 'Reply All' bothering everyone, etc.).

Because of all these issues, sharing media with friends and family has generally been limited to one-time, “special occasion” media—when the importance of the media overcomes all the hassles of its sharing.

We realized that:

  • if there were an easy, convenient way to keep friends and family in sync not just with special occasions but with everyday life,
  • and it was a single solution for all media that controlled access to this very personal content,
  • then we could share more, more often, with more people.

We also realized that if we found this to be a powerful, new way to share our lives and maintain connections with our friends and family, others would too. EnjoyMyMedia Netcasting was born (and is now patent pending).

We hope EnjoyMyMedia brings you closer to your friends and family.
